VMP Anthology is the vinyl box set, reinvented. It aims to use music to tell a story, and gives space for lots of listening, learning, and conversation along the way.
The Story of the Grateful Dead
A story told through four classic studio LPs and four legendary live albums, selected by Vinyl Me, Please.
Expected to ship Summer 2020 (for free in the U.S.). Timeline is subject to change due to COVID-19. We will notify you of any shipping updates.
The Dead created a blueprint for how all types of sound could coexist harmoniously. Being true misfits themselves, the Grateful Dead offered a place for outsiders to gather, welcoming all comers that lived by a code that, simplified to its purest essence, seemed to translate to something like: Be real.”
A great series unfolds in episodes
...and the best stories are told in chapters. We're reinventing the box set experience as VMP and the Grateful Dead take listeners on a joyride through one of the deepest catalogs and richest legacies in rock history. This eight album, 14 LP collection connects the Dead's history, subculture and lore to modern relevance and mainstream music culture. While the box will ship with all eight albums inside, the exclusive podcast will guide you through opening the records at specific points on our four-week journey.
